The programmes of the Linde University are focussing on the following topics:
Leadership Capabilities and Business Management
What is our global economic environment, how are competitors positioned, and what influence is The Linde Group exposed to?
How do we create added value for our shareholders?
What is the strategic relevance of programmes for the ongoing improvement of products, structures and processes, and why are ongoing innovations and change an indispensable must?
Strengthen the Skills and Qualifications of our People
How do we direct our business towards a high-performance society with profitable growth?
How can we accelerate our journey towards our vision of becoming the Lead.Ing gases and engineering group?
What does "leadership by example" mean, and how can we employ the potentials of our teams towards a particular goal?
The programmes of the Linde University are always up to date and are continually adapted to new requirements. In cooperation with leading universities around the globe, the latest findings are integrated into the programmes. In addition to this scientific base, the programmes also reflect our own practical experience. We integrate employees from different management levels who can contribute their own experience and thus add practical relevance.
Example: "Line Manager Training"
Managers of the first and second level are the "interface" to the 48,000 Linde employees around the globe. To help these executives fulfil their tasks even more successfully and exploit their full potential, we created a development programme that takes into account the specific requirements of this group. The programme focuses on furnishing managers with the necessary skills and leadership qualities to use, coordinate and lead their teams even more effectively.
The training programme is part of a global project that promotes people excellence across the entire Linde Group. The programme is spread over a period of seven months and consists of face-to-face training as well as a variety of activities both before and after the programme itself. This includes e.g. various e-learning offers or a 360-degree feedback followed by a discussion with a personal coach. A key feature of this programme are Linde's own personal coaches, who speak the local language of the participants. 80 % of the programme contents are the same worldwide, while 20 % are specific to each country or region.
